gajra-inspired flowers and beaded hair sticks

A pair of wooden hair sticks, stacked with sparkling faceted glass beads and silvery alloy accents, then finished with acrylic, pearl, and fabric flowers.

Each stick is approximately 9.3″ (23.8cm) from end to end, with about 8″ of the stick being usable to hold your hair, and the dangles are about 4″ from the stick to bottoms of the flowers. These wooden hair sticks are pretty light, weighing approximately 18 grams (a touch more than the weight of three nickels) each. A pair is about 36grams. These happened because I’ve been going in on South Asian jewelry & hair decorations, & keep coming back to gajra elements. (Bonus: some people believe gajra hair adornments ward off negative energies and bring good luck.)
