three-flower scale hair forks

One hair fork, made of aluminum & silver-plated brass. This is an update of my original design; ten years after the fact, I figured out how to keep the flowers from twisting around while being worn!

The flower dangles are about 3.75″ from top to bottom; the flowers themselves are about 1.5″/3.5cm across. The part of the fork that goes in your hair is 4.5″ from top to bottom. As the flowers are made of aluminum, they will not rust or tarnish. If they get dirty, they’ll clean up in the sink with some dish soap.

How to wear it? Make a twisty bun, then put the tines of the fork up through the edge of the bun, then point & slide the tines downwards so it’s in your hair and the flowers are sitting on the outside of your bun. There’s a how-to gif at the bottom of this page.
