Flowered Silver Swords Hair Sticks

One pair of metal alloy hair sticks in the shape of swords, decorated with acrylic flowers and sparkly beads. Each stick is 4.25″/10.5cm long; the length of the stick that holds your hair is a little over 3″/8cm.

The sticks with acrylic flowers are 16g each (about the weight of three nickels), and the dangles are approximately 2.25″/6cm long and 1.3″/3.5cm wide.The ones with silvery flowers are 18g, or about the weight of three nickels plus a penny, and the dangles are approximately 2.75″/7cm long and 1.75″/4.5cm long.

These sticks are shorter than usual. They seem to work best if you put your hair into a bun first, then use the swords to hold it in place. If you have fine or thin hair, they should hold your hair up on their own–but if you have really long or thick hair they would do better as accent pieces. They also look really neat in sets of four at a time! And don’t worry–they’re not sharpened. 😛

Why are the silver dangles a different shape than the colorful ones? Because I couldn’t get a hold of small silver flowers, but still thought silver was a variation worth making.
