A pair of wooden hair sticks with aluminum dangles, modeled after traditional bira bira kanzashi. Most traditional bira bira I found were silver-colored, so that’s what I started making . . . but I got bored with that, and these happened.
Each charm is 2.9″/7.5cm long, and each segment is .75″/2.2cm wide. The Czech fire-polished beads catch the light without being too much, and the aluminum dangles are very lightweight and make a little jingle as you move.
These sticks are all 9″/23cm long, so the dangles stand out and away from your hair. These particular sticks hold up to heavier or curly hair, and have proven long enough to hold hair that’s past waist length–even though they’ll work for people with finer or shorter hair as well! If you need a pair of sticks changed for a shorter version, let me know and I’ll switch them out for you. If you need a color or combination that’s not listed, I can get them together–just ask. 🙂
